RooR-Bongs-History
Anyone familiar with the bong scene knows about Roor? . Roor is known for making quality products and has established a solid brand for itself in the culture.
The founder of this German glassware company is none other than the famous glass blower Martin Birzle? While looking through a science publication, Birzle was inspired.
Since being established in the 1980's, roor has continued to create quality innovative bongs and other smoking accessories. All roor glass is hand blown and made in limited numbers in order to maintain high quality control.
All roors are made out of clear premium borosilicate glass, specifically Schott Duran Pyrex Tubing.
Most roors have a chemistry lab equipment look, and many of the custom ones have small signatures or squiggles at their base. The glass thickness varies from 3.2 mm all the way up to 9 mm. All roor bongs are glass on glass with ground glass joints, no rubber bushings or metal pieces are used to connect the stem to the body of the bong.
Roor
is credited with beginning use of a diffusing downstem? in their designs. Roor's diffuser design features small holes at the bottom of the downstem which separates the smoke into many small bubbles creating a smoother toke.
Roor developed the unique percolator tree which is considered to be one of the best drag free percolator designs. Roor glass is manufactured in both Germany and through a partnership with a glass blowing company in Southern California called Dementia.
