A reworked excellent version of an old breed once known as Big Bud. This is an absolute must for the cultivator who demands a heavy marijuana yield with an equally high stone. It is the heaviest plant currently in production for commercial farmers and outdoor crops and resembles the male genital protrusion of a giant donkey. Due to its heavy flower construction it can be susceptible to mould if the growing area is too humid.

So be warned. Harvest on time. It has a genetic pedigree originating from a particularly heavy Afghani combined with the original Skunk 1. An expected yield indoors would be 650-750 grams per square metre within 50-55 days, possibly more for the experienced marijuana growers. If cultivated outdoors, expect harvest in September for the northern hemisphere and by March in the southern hemisphere.

This plant is for those who are looking for yield as it gets massive, gigantic, fat, thick colas. It is very dense. Watch out for mold as it seems prone to it due to the density and thickness of marijuana buds.

I grew these in DWC and it was a very easy marijuana plant to grow, no problems at all. It had very sativa looking leaves but very little stretch. It made nice average size bushes with monster fat marijuana buds. The smell and taste could be better — not that they are bad more just plain and nothing to talk about.

The potency is definitely good though and I had no complaints from any who smoked it. I think this would be a great beginner marijuana strain for those who want to get a good yield of good weed as I believe that even a noob could get good yields. with this baby.

I would say to let it go longer than the breeder says in flower because resin development didn't really happen till late in flower, but if you do let them go to full maturation keep a close watch for mold.

I grew out a pack of Critcal Mass (16 seeds) from Mr. Nice seed bank. Most of the plants were pretty average but I did find one exceptional female. Afghani-dominant in growth and appearance. The plant was grown in a five gallon bucket under 3K with a total organic feeding regime (moonshine's organic soil mix). The mix is mainly castings, bat guano and seabird guano, perlite and coco-fiber. The best female finished at 4 1/2 ft with solid bud from top to bottom. No leaf, which made trimming a dream. The temps were kept at 82 day and 61 night, which made the plant totally purple out. Huge Bag appeal with frosty purple nuggets and crazy orange hairs. I have read this plant isn’t big on resin ... the female I have is HUGE on resin so that’s an added bonus.

I used to smoke a strain called Godzilla at the Greenhouse in Amsterdam. This was around 97-98 when Shantibaba was with Greenhouse. I have a strong feeling the Critical Mass and Godzilla are of the same lineage. I loved that particular strain (Godzilla) and had a huge flashback the first time I puffed the Crit ...
