Actor Sean Penn burst onto the scene in the early '80s as the coolest stoner ever as Jeff Spicoli in the classic cannabis comedy Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

An amazing stoner scene has Spicoli exciting his hot boxed van in Ridgemount High parking lot to attend Mr. Hand's class. The teacher is not happy when the stoner arrives late for class wearing no shirt and with a bagel jammed in shorts.

Spicoli's antics also includes a munchie solution.

Ordering pizza directly to the classroom.

Spicoli uses plenty of great '80s terminology, including the once famous word, 'Bogus' way too many time.

One game stoner play when watching the movie is doing a bong hit when he uses the word 'Bogus.'

Many critics of Penn's overlook the fact his acting is phenomenal.

Instead focusing on his often hairy personal life.

That once involved a marriage to pop singer Maddonna.

Yet Penn's been nominated five times for an Academy Award for Best Actor, but only took home the award once. For his stellar role in the movie Mystic River.

Penn also won a Golden Globe for his work in Mystic River and a Screen Actor's Guild Award for Best Actor in the movie MILK.

He's portrayed plenty of hard drug addicts during his acting career. Including such memorable characters as David Kleinfeld in Carlito's Way (1993) and Daulton Lee in The Falcon and the Snowman (1985) about coke and heroin abusing agent who steals stop secret U.S. information for Russian intelligence. Penn also played a coke abuser in Hurly Burly (1998).

His latest movie role returns him to the topic of toking marijuana. Penn is currently filming the life story of noted UK marijuana and hash smuggler Howard Marks? a/k/a Mr. Nice? Not too worry. Penn isn't playing the lead role of Welsh born Marks. The actor is not only an outspoken political activist for legalization of marijuana, but many other excellent causes too.
